Film Festival Partner Los Angeles Latino International Film Festival 11 years running, LALIFF’s will showcase the FDP’s film at the next film festival as a special event and provide promotional ads, banners, and advertising within the festival and at out side events and screenings. They are also promoting the program and short film via their 5000 plus email distribution list.
Production Partner Hollywood Shorts Emerging Filmmaker’s Program
Known for producing award winner shorts as well as cable distribution on HBO and Showtime, Hollywood shorts will provide production resources and film festival strategy and guidance for the film and program.
Television Distribution Partner LatinNation/American Latino Television
Every week American Latino TV is seen in over 100 cities all across the U.S., Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico including ABC and K-Cal in Los Angeles and will provide Television exposure by featuring the program and film in their broadcast. This includes a potential segment series capturing the behind the scenes of the program and the making of the film entitled “Making It”
DVD Distribution Partner The Vine Entertainment
The Vine Entertainment is a Los Angeles based production and distribution company committed to creating high-quality and original content. They have committed to distributing short films that come out of the Filmmaker Discovery Program through their wide range of national distribution outlets geared towards a variety of markets including the latino market.
The Filmmaker Discovery Program will choose one participant that completes a series of workshops and training in each session and develop, produce, and screen their short film (featurette). FDP will showcase the filmmaker and the film at local and national festivals, specialized short-film distribution outlets, and intend to secure much needed representation for the filmmaker. FDP’s will provide a platform to hone their skills and open doors for the filmmaker giving them a fair opportunity to succeed as an artist in the field of entertainment.
Award winning filmmaker Claudia Duran wrote and directed SOFIA FOR NOW, a dramatic feature shot on digital. The film screened at such film festivals as the Boston Roxbury Film Festival, Edward James Olmos' Latino International Film Festival, Pan African Cinema Festival of Cannes, and independent film festival BHLIFE were she received the Up And Coming Filmmaker award. She is the winner of PLIE’s Filmmaker Discover Program Emerging Film Director Award.

And a special appearance by Cedric Yarbrough (Reno 911).
