PLIE’s goal is to expose filmmakers and their work to Hollywood professionals that have influence within the industry. With this in mind LFS is a bi-yearly showcase that screens selected shorts and demo reels or scenes by up and coming filmmakers for Hollywood executives, agents, managers, and producers.  

 

PLIE continues to bring the Latino community provocative panels. The panels bring the Hollywood community such as agents, executives, producers, writers, and directors to Latinos and provide an opportunity to engage in an informative dialogue with these A-list insiders. Connections and knowledge together are powerful! Past panelists included agents from CAA, ICM, Endeavor, Paradigm, Kaplan Stahler, WMA, and top managers/producers like producer of the upcoming Javier Bordem film Killing Pablo as well as writers for Disney and Fox.

PLIE bi-yearly produces industry mixers for talented Latinos providing them an opportunity to mingle with Hollywood industry professionals and access to these otherwise hard to reach Hollywood players. (Free and exclusively for PLIE donor members and associates with special vip access-these mixers fill up quickly.) Past mixers included: ICM’s Agent and Filmmaker Mixer at the world famous Conga Room in Los Angeles. PLIE hosted top agents and the cast of the Traffic to an evening of relationship building in a relaxed, fun, but productive environment. Silverlight/Warner Brothers mixer for PLIE members, hosted professional Latinos to meet and greet Silverlight and Warner Bros. Executives.
